Sesame Workshop is looking for a Brand Marketing Intern for 2024 Winter / Spring. The Brand Marketing team is responsible for long-term planning for the brand-evaluating franchise priorities, tentpoles, brand partnerships, and promotions, including all marketing to promote new seasons, specials, or spin-offs for Sesame Workshop Productions. The team also supports other lines of business that help drive revenue and further brand awareness.
The Marketing Intern position provides support for the Brand Marketing team across many facets including franchise planning and organization, licensing, themed entertainment, and social impact, both domestically and internationally. This role will work both independently and collaboratively on tasks to help promote Sesame Workshop's content, resources, and businesses.
Please Note:
• Preferred Timing: Feb 12 – May 24 (flexible start & end dates)
• 3-4 days per week; approximately 20-30 hours (pending flexibility)
• Work hours are from 9:30am – 5:30pm, but hours may be split to accommodate class or work schedules (upon manager discussion & approval)
• Hybrid Work Schedule
• Remote Days: Mondays, Tuesdays*, Fridays
• *Occasional Tuesdays will be in-office days
• In-Office Days: Wednesdays, Thursdays
• Potential to continue internship through Summer session
Key Responsibilities
• Create monthly marketing reports and/or topic-based research projects to be presented to Brand Marketing team to help stimulate new marketing tactics
• Support manager and team by finding improvement areas for organization using tools such as Sharepoint, Frame.io, and Airtable
• Attend meetings with both internal and external partners, and support manager by compiling agendas and taking notes to be distributed widely
• Support manager in coordinating logistics for campaign promotional content creation and experiential moments
• Help create and format PowerPoint slides for both internal and external presentations
• Work closely with Brand Creative, Audience Development (Social Media & Digital), and Press / Communications on various projects
• Proactively brainstorm and pitch innovative marketing tactics and suggestions for the team

• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and independent proactiveness
• Ability to be flexible with work assignments and environments
• Knowledge of Microsoft (PowerPoint specifically)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to rapid change and to exercise creativity
• Ability to manage multiple priorities from different team members
• Comfortable working in-person and remotely
• Experience with Frame.io and iMeet is a bonus
Qualifications
• Must be currently enrolled as either a Junior or Senior
• This position requires both in-person office and remote work
